Medequips

Medequips was created in 1979 with collaboration between Toshiba (Japan) and the Fazal Din's Group. Currently Medequips is one of the largest suppliers of Electro Medical Equipment in Pakistan. The head office is located in Lahore and area offices are situated at Karachi, Islamabad, and Peshawar.

Medequips holds exclusive sales and service rights of a wide array of equipment made by internationally reputed companies, including Toshiba of Japan. Medequips has enjoyed phenomenal sales growth not only because of its international affiliations, but also because of the good will the Fazal Din's Group has established in Pakistan.

Summary of activities:

1. Government Hospitals: Provincial as well as Federal Government, Railways, Army, WAPDA (Water & Power Development Authority), and other Government and Semi-Government Institutions.

2. Private Hospitals and Clinics: has major share of this market segment particularly for X-ray units, ultrasounds and similar equipment.

3. Largest supplier of sophisticated Nuclear Medicine Gamma Cameras and Radiotherapy (Cobalt-60 and Treatment Planning systems) to Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission.

4. Largest suppliers of sophisticated ultrasound equipment, Having supplied such equipment to almost all the teaching and important hospitals in this part of the country for Radiology, OB/Gynae, and Cardiology specialists. Market Share in this area is 60%.

5. Besides supply to Government, have sold the largest number (more than 60% of the market share) of high output X ray units of 500mA and above, more than 200 such apparatus have been installed in private clinics and hospitals in the past few years.

6. Largest supplier of high technology imaging equipment. This includes over 30% of the CT-Scanner market, 85% of the Color Doppler market and 50% of the MRI market.

7. Besides regular supplies to various medical centers it has, among its customers some of the most prestigious hospitals where major Radiology Departments are almost exclusively equipped by it.

8. Presently holds a large stock of electrometrical equipment of various types.

14. Supply of two units state-of-the-art Angiography systems with DSA to NICVD, Karachi.

15. Supply of complete Radiology Department to Rawalpindi Medical College.

16. Supply of Universal Angiography system, Digital Color Doppler, and 4 Ultrasound systems to Jinnah Hospital, Lahore.

17. Supply of 4 state-of-the art Slip Ring CT scanner Systems to the Punjab Health Department and Advanced Helical scanners to Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar Government Hospitals and to the Pakistan Army.

18. Supply of over 16 CT scanners to private hospitals.

19. Introduction of the first Digital Color Doppler systems in Pakistan.

20. Supply and installation of complete Radiology Department of the Punjab Institute of Cardiology including three Color Dopplers.

23. Supply and installation of 171units 500m A/125k V X-Ray Plants for the Punjab Government.

24. Supply and installation of 23 units of 500m A/150k V Radiography/Fluoroscopy X-ray Plants to the Punjab Government as single order.

25. Supply of 44 Microprocessor Controlled X-ray Plants to the Punjab Health Department as single order.

26. Supply and installation of 50 Monitors to Mayo Hospital, Lahore as single order.

27. Supply and installation of 55 baby Incubators to the Sindh Government as single order.

28. Supply and installation of 35 Defibrillator to the Sindh Government as single order.

29. Supply of 200 ECG machines and 50 Defibrillator to the Pakistan Army.

30. Supply of complete CCU Monitoring System with Central Station to over 30 hospitals in Pakistan including National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Cardiac Hospital, Akram Medical Complex, Shalimar Hospital and Ganga Ram Hospital.

31. Largest supply of over 1000 Ultrasound Systems which includes 100 Doppler Systems to Hospitals all over Pakistan.
